Introduce yourself, name, age, which region/ venues
you cover...
Hi! I am Adele, aged
50 and I cover South Wales. I service all venues within the CF NP and LD
postcodes which include some amazing venues like Celtic Manor, Dyffryn Gardens
and St Pierre.
What is your background?
The majority of my
career has been in Creative Retail, beginning as Display Assistant for a high
street department store where I learnt the basics of the industry. I moved to a
large womensnwear brand as Visual Assistant and achieved several promotions to
head the department as Creative Manager. I was responsible for all window elements,
in-store visuals and managing a team of twenty five. I had the opportunity to
travel extensively setting up franchise stores, trips to Paris and Germany for
inspiration and work with suppliers to manufacture design ideas. Attention to
detail, styling and being aware of trends has been key throughout my career.
For the last 2 years I
worked in Project Management for a Design Company managing and servicing
clients with their design ideas from concept to realisation. I really enjoyed
the challenge and worked with some great clients including Topman, Pierre
Cardin and my previous brand Wallis.
Why did you take a franchise with Simply Bows and
Chair Covers?
I was researching the
internet for designer chair covers and discovered Simply Bows and Chair Covers.
I was really impressed with the product because it looked beautiful, it was
unique and there was no other supplier providing this level of design for chair
covers. I contacted Sarah to discuss the franchise opportunity, fell in love
with the product, the ethos of the business and the rest as they say is
history.
Why do you love working for yourself?
I love the freedom of
working for myself. I have always worked hard for other people and now I am
working hard for myself. I know I will only be as successful as the effort I
put into my business and I am loving the challenge.
Why do you love being a Simply Bows and Chair Covers
franchisee?
The big part of being a
franchisee is that you have the support of the Managing Director and all of the
other Franchisee’s. Even though it’s my own business I am still part of a team
driven to be successful sharing ideas and best practice. The support network is
long established and the operating systems are in place. I love the quality and
the design element of the business and the opportunity to utilize all of my
acquired skills to develop my own business.
Where do you see you, and your franchisee in 1 years
time and also 3 years time?
As I have only been
operating for 3 months I am working hard to get my business on the map in South
Wales. In a year’s time I will have delivered events and have the knowledge and
experience to drive my business forward.
In 3 years time I plan
to be established operating a successful business being preferred supplier in
several venues. I will make this happen.
Anything else to tell
us/ share?Working for yourself is
not for the faint hearted, you need to be determined, self- motivated, believe
in the product and provide customer service second to none.
