Simply Fashion: Vera Wang makes wedding headlines again

Vera Wang has made headlines (and the Simply Bows and Chair Covers Blog) alot recently as she is contiually picked to design the wedding gowns of the Hollywood A list (and B list!).

In August we brought the Kim Kardashian Wedding sneek peek to you (didnt see it? Click here).

Well world renowned Vera Wang who designed Kim's dress had now revealed that you too can wear a dress just like Kim's! It was only a matter of time until Kim Kardashian wedding dress lookalikes hit the stores - but we didn't expect Vera Wang, the original's designer, to get in on the act.
The high end dress-maker is to launch a range of kopykat Kardashian dresses, giving brides across the U.S. the chance to emulate the reality TV star.
The two designs, which will go on sale in February at affordable retailer David's Bridal, will deliver cut-price Hollywood glamour to the masses.

The two styles will be on sale from February and will cost less than $1,600 each

Vera Wang also recently announced a partnership with Zales to sell diamond and sapphire engagement rings - some of which are rumoured to resemble the Duchess of Cambridge's elegant design. It seems there is no stopping Vera Wang at the moment and something tells us it will only be a matter of time before she hits the wedding headlines once again!

Simply Inspired: Royal Wedding has inspired romantic proposals

It appears that not only were Kate and Williams nuptuals the celebration of the year but they have also inspired numerous young couples to get hitched, caught up in the spirit of things....

Romantic Dean Nicholls, 26, proposed on one knee to his girlfriend of three years, Lauren Green, at  the Queen’s official London residence, which currently boasts an exhibition devoted to William and Kate’s wedding.

    Dean and Lauren
'I had always wanted to go there. The Palace symbolises all that is English, for me. Lauren shares the same interest so I thought it was an ideal place and opportunity to propose' revealed Dean.
‘I think the time was right and with the Royal Wedding and our Buckingham Palace tour it seemed to fit in nicely. I had been thinking about proposing for a few months.’

Buckingham Palace’s Visitor Manager Richard Knowles, said: ‘We were delighted that the gentleman chose to propose during a visit to Buckingham Palace. This is particularly special in the year of the Royal Wedding and with The Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding dress here on display.’

The perfect location: Thousands of people crowded outside Buckingham Palace on the 29th April this year to get a glimpse of the Royal Wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton

Just days before the Buckingham palace proposal, another mystery couple got engaged on top of Windsor Castle’s newly-opened round tower. The love birds, known only as ‘Brad and Natalie’, who are believed to be Australian, prompted cheers from other tourists with their proposal.

News of the romantic encounter was Tweeted by Buckingham Palace. It read: ‘The first proposal at the top of Windsor Castle’s Round Tower. She said yes!’Castle sources said the couple were part of a guided tour in the tower, which has just opened to the public for the first time in 800 years.

The man was said to be ‘overcome’ by the stunning views of the Windsor skyline from 215 feet above the River Thames. Standing on the upper parapet in pouring rain, he dropped to his knee and presented his intended with a ring.

Simply Royal: Zara Phillips ties the royal knot- were our dress predictions correct?

Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall tied the knot this weekend at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh in a ceremony that lasted 45 minutes but what did the bride wear you ask?!

She’s one of the more unconventional Royals, but Zara Phillips looked very much the traditional bride on Saterday. Her wedding gown was made from ivory duchess silk and is thought to be made by couturier Stewart Parvin as revealed to you by the one and only Simply Bows and Chair Covers in last weeks blog.

Zara also wore a cathedral length veil and Princess Anne had also loaned her a Greek Key tiara to wear to finish off her fairytale look.

The couple left the church in a Bentley and took a 400-yard journey to Holyrood House for the reception. The 24 hr party has no doubt left the whole wedding party a little fragile this Monday morning but we are delighted the royals once again show the world how to throw a good wedding!

Check out the bride and groom below in this video produced by ITV news.

Zara has revealed that she does not want a high fashion dress like Kate Middelton's Sarah Burton design but Stewart is the youngest of the royal couturier's so it will be chic and modern.... Join us next week to see all the photo's of Zara and Mike's big day!
