Opened by Ant & Dec, the Youth Village is at the heart of the North East region. The Youth Village has recently been voted as one of 20 Centres of Excellence in Youth Ministry across all denominations within the British Isles.
Visitors to the Youth Village will enjoy state of the art facilities which include an auditorium and dining hall for groups up to 98 people. There are 44 en-suite twin and triple bedrooms spread across four attractive chalets, a games room, spacious gardens, playing fields and a dedicated space for prayer and reflection.
In addition to the young people who are invited to use the Youth Village for retreats and camping, it also offers an ideal venue for different occasions such as receptions, adult conferences, and meetings.
Simply Bows and Chair Covers were delighted to be invited by Karen Thornton of Connect VIPs to dress the Annual Charity Golf Day hosted by Ant and Dec to raise funds for this exceptional local charity. The event was held at Slaley Hall and we dressed the Kielder Suite in sticking Cadburys purple décor.
This star studded event that we also lucky enough to attend on a social level was a huge success raising thousands for this great charity and we were delighted to be part of it.

We have 105 ensuite bedrooms and conference space ranging from small meetings of 6 to 500 or 250 for a evening dinner event. We offer free car parking and free wifi throughout the full hotel.
Does your hotel cater for weddings?
The hotel can cater for wedding ceremonies of up to 150 people and a wedding breakfast up to 200. If you would like to extend your special day to the evening then we accommodate for up to 250. The hotel has special offers running through 2011/2012 from £1499 for a full day / evening wedding.
What about events, both large and small?
Our smallest meeting space would hold up to 6 going on to larger events of up to 500 people depending on your event as we cater to your needs.
What accommodation is on offer?
Guests are more than welcome to stay over, we offer a discounted rate for the wedding party which is available with a code given to the bride & groom at time of booking. If you are part of a event we also offer discounted rates given to the organiser at the time of booking. Ranging from a single room @ £50.00 B&B to a family room @ £85.00 B&B.

The hotel has a restaurant which offers an Al la Carte menu from 6pm until 9.30pm or you can settle in our more comfortable bar area and choose from a selection of bar snacks. If you don’t want to venture out of your room then we also provided 24 hour room service where you can also purchase a wide range of lager / beer / world wines and special champagne’s to suite every budget.
What sets your venue apart from others?
Based at NewcastleAirport we are easy accessible by public transport with the link running up to 12midnight. Our staff are here to fully support you and your event however big or small.

Helen of Popcake Kitchen says "Popcakes are great as favours at weddings or other events - their size makes them perfect for guests to have a treat alongside their meal, or take away as a delicious memento of the day. Their ability to double up as place cards makes the favour option extra popular". Helen's sister in law is from America and the girls saw a real gap in the market for these delicious treats over here in the UK and having a catering background, felt that they could make fantastic popcakes for the North East.
Popcake Kitchen is moving to new premises and are soon to be located in Catchgate, Co. Durham. They can hand deliver their pops in the areas around Newcastle and Durham (a small delivery charge may apply), and can post out more sturdy designs.
The girls can make just about anything into a popcake! Their current repertoire includes elegant wedding favours, cute children's animals and yummy yet sophisticated chocolate delights. They are happy to work with any idea the client brings to them and love trying out new and innovative ideas. They have a delicious flavour range of Chocolate, Vanilla, Lemon, Strawberry and Toffee.
Pops range from £2.00-£3.75 each, the more expensive ranges being the pop place cards or their very intricate designs. Place your order soon as their order book is filling fast!
