Simply Genius or Simply Impersonal? You decide!

Once your wedding is over and the '5 day high' subsides, the honeymoon seems like a lifetime ago and you are settling in to married life one thing is still left to do. Write your thank you cards! Most Bride and Grooms dread this sometimes tedious task yet others revel in it!

The Daily Mail revealed this week that there are now such a thing as Wedding Thank You Card Writers such as the aptly named 'Wedding Thank You Writer'! These companies offer a professional letter-writing service for brides and grooms with the late thank you-blues!specialising in wedding thank yous, designed to avoid the 'late thank-you-note blues.'

Brides using this service are given a choice of samples that include male or female handwriting and cursive or print.
Cards are left unsigned or names are printed depending on the couples preference and then posted back to the couple for them to send on to their wedding guests.

We want to know... do you think this is a fabulous idea that you would do yourself or do you think its an awful impersonal idea that shouldnt be done?!

Simply Delicious: A Simply Bows Real Wedding

The setting was the beautiful Eshott Hall in Northumberland and Lucy, the bride, created a magical & truly scrumptious wedding there. Lucy's fave part of her wedding was her candy buffet & cake by Choccy Woccy Doo dah which took centre stage in the ballroom.
Each table was named by a different sweet & coloured accordingly with sweetie favours and menu cards made by her sister. Her sweetie themed table plan was also created by her other sister which was really eye catching as you will see below. What a lucky girl to have so much creativity in one family!
As Simply Bows and Chair Covers we dressed all the chairs in our white chair covers & ivory bows to match in with their theme. Here are a few pictures of how yummy it all looked.

All the hard work has really paid off and it  was lovely to see the whole family working together to bring all of the couple's ideas to life.
We wish you all the happiness from Simply Bows & Chair Covers & as the confetti holders said.....
Happily ever after, THE END!

Simply Industry Professional Focus: Bruce Oldfield join Mark Niemierko Academy for a special treat to attendees

During the 5 day master-class in early October 2011 the Niemierko Wedding Academy at The Dorchester, the UK’s foremost wedding planning academy founded by luxury planner Mark Niemierko, was fortunate enough to have Bruce Oldfield attend as a guest contributor.

Bruce Oldfield

Acclaimed fashion designer Bruce Oldfield OBE, attended the October Academy for an intimate one off Q&A session with Mark Niemierko and his students. Bruce gave an honest interview where he told Mark that he recommends a bride should “get down to her bra and pants, stand in front of a very good mirror and really decide what her good points are,” prior to going wedding dress shopping.

Mark Niemierko

Bruce Oldfield was present at The Dorchester for the inspirational Beauty and Attire day of the 5 day master-class, held on Thursday 6th October, within the Dorchester’s Penthouse and Pavilion. The students also had a private view of four dresses from Bruce’s current Bridal Collection. Whilst openly discussing his experiences of dressing some of the most famous women in the world, from the late HRH Diana Princess of Wales to Rihanna.

As well as giving advice and experience to the students on how to run and manage a business, and where to draw inspiration. Bruce recommended students learn from their mistakes early on in their business careers, and to always look around them for inspiration, from travelling to interiors. Even pointing out that as he sat in the Oliver Messel Penthouse and Pavilion Suite at The Dorchester he felt inspired by the detail around the room.
